Cautious!!! This Gekikara Ramen is very HOT & SPICY

WHO DARE TO TRY THE GRADE 40.....Kah BOOOOOM!!!   If you want to try Grade 40, then I would like to advise you to standby a big bucket of water to cool down the sensation burnt on your tongue.

I strongly recommended those who cannot take Hot & Spicy Food and would like to try out this Hot & Spicy Gekikara Ramen, should order Grade 1 - 3.

I was given to understand that until todate there was one lady who has completely finished a Bowl of Gekikara Ramen Grade 40. 
How did she manage to do that ??? Phew !!! Sweat !!!

Last week, I was passing by Jalan Burma and noticed that the facade of Nippon Yataimura Japanese Restaurant has been changed with a huge signage of Hokkai Ramen Restoran Jepun Later I learned that Nippon Yataimura Japanese Restaurant has been closed down and Hokkai Ramen Restoran Jepun has taken over the building.

Penang Famous Siam Laksa @ Kedai Kopi Swee Kong, Pulau Tikus, Penang.

The Penang Famous Siam Laksa Stall is located at the edge of Kedai Kopi Swee Kong at the Junction of Burmah Road & Solok Moulmein, Pulau Tikus, Penang.

Originally an old lady was operating the stall and passed away about 8 years ago. Her sons have taken over the stall and they are running the stall now.

I strongly recommended to mix the 2 soups (i.e. Asam & Siam) together and the 2 Combinations give you GREAT!!!  Taste of the Laksa.

On 26th February 2011 (i.e. Sat), Ms. Junita Junit who travelled up all the way to Penang from Kuching, Sarawak went out with me in early morning to have 'Eat Until You Drop!'. We stopped by a number of places before patronized this Famous Siam Laksa Stall.

I found that the Prices have been increased as follows:-

1)  Asam Laksa
     Small Bowl - RM3.00 (Increased by RM0.20)
     Big Bowl - RM3.50 (Increased by RM0.20)
2)  Siam Laksa (Lemak Laksa)
     Smaill Bowl - RM3.00 (Increased by RM0.20)
     Big Bowl - RM3.50 (Increased by RM0.20)

I find that the increasements were fair and the Tastes of Siam & Asam Laksas were still remained unchanged.

Please take note that the Stall will closed on Thursday and Sunday.

Mee Udang & Ketam - Jamu Selera, Juru, Prai, Penang (Halal)

Jamu Selera is located at No. 503, Jalan Kuala Juru, Bagan Nyiur, Juru, Bukit Mertajam, Penang on the mainland of Penang where you have pass by Juru Autocity or Juru Heights. If you are using the North-South Expressway, you have to exit at the Juru Interchange (Exit 160). From the Juru Heights you have to drive in straight without turning left or right until you reach a T Junction and turn on your right hand side. About 100 meters, you will notice Jamu Selera with a banner on your right hand side. Jamu Selera is nearby to fishing village if you travell down Jalan Kuala Juru.

Jamu Selera is famous for its Mee Udang & Ketam.

Besides Mee Udang & Ketam, they also serve Nasi Goreng Ketam, Nasi Goreng Udang and Nasi Putih Ikan Bawal.

The taste of the soup is the same like the mee udang.

On the 24th July 2010, I was around the Juru Autocity and decided to patronize Jamu Selera for my lunch.

The taste was still remain unchanged.... still tasty.
No increase in Price .... still remain the same RM6.00 per bowl

No. 09 : Mee Udang.

The Taste was still as good as before.
No increase in Price .... still remain the same RM5.00 per bowl with 5 Shrimps.
